It’s hard to believe that Christmas is 6 days away! We are sure that Santa and his elves are busy making beautiful toys at the North Pole but should you want to give him a helping hand, we have compiled our 5 favorite stocking stuffers that promote healthy smiles!
1. A New Toothbrush
We know this may be kind of boring but honestly you can never have enough toothbrushes. The American Dental Association recommends throwing out your toothbrush every three to four months or after the flu/cold. Now that we are in flu season and runny noses are everywhere, it can’t hurt to stock up! Plus, you can make it fun by getting a character toothbrush!
2. Books
A book about a trip to the dentist makes a great stocking stuffer. Start reading to your children early on about visiting the dentist and what to expect when they get their teeth cleaned. This will help ease their anxiety and perhaps even get them excited to go!
3. Dental Gadgets Galore!
In a world where every sector is tech savvy, the dental world does not disappoint! There are tons of great smart dental products out there. There are smart toothbrushes that correspond with an apps that make oral hygiene both educational and fun for kiddos! Check some of these out: Philips Sonicare HX6321, Grush Smart Sonic Toothbrush for kids or Vigilants Rainbow Bluetooth toothbrush!
4. Tooth Fairy Accesories
Is your child at the age where the tooth fairy will soon be visiting? If so there are adorable things to make the tooth fairy feel right at home and welcomed when collecting the pearly whites. You could include a tooth fairy pillow where you can safely store the baby tooth until the tooth fairy comes. There are also tooth fairy charts that allow you and your children to document what teeth they have lost. It makes a great keep sake!
5. A Timer
While telling your children to brush until they sing “Happy Birthday” twice is a great stand by, it makes it difficult for the children to concentrate on the actual brushing. Try getting your kiddos a two minute timer so they know exactly how long they have to brush for. The one below from Intellitec is a kid favorite because it lights up and has a hand washing setting as well!
